Life Is A Rollercoaster

Generally my articles on this website are fashion or travel related, mostly quite light hearted. I like it keeping real with you all- either it’s the reviews or my opinions. But in this article, I am just going to pour my heart out.
Next week is Viaan’s first birthday, so we are quite excited to celebrate it. This is probably the happiest day for us, we have so many things planned for our little one- he may not even remember it or realise what we are doing but honestly, all first birthday celebrations mean more to the parents than to the child.
Last weekend was spent shopping for his birthday clothes, which involved eating out and getting take outs, and that’s where everything went wrong.
By Sunday evening, Viaan started getting sick and it all went downhill from there. Dinesh and I were worried to hell and started looking after Viaan, who was visibly getting weak and miserable. Then it was Dinesh’s turn to fall sick and then eventually it was me. It was the most terrible time of my life, I felt homesick and started missing my parents. We wanted someone to look after us, as we were looking after Viaan. To cut the story short, 4 days down the line, we are still on our path to recovery and not there yet!
The reason why I told you this story is because this incident made me realise the importance of health and family, how the family has to come together in times of difficulty and it also made me realise how much my mom means to me and how she has always been there when I needed her.  Similarly, how I have to be there for Viaan in times of sickness and happiness.
Enough of soppiness in one post, now let’s talk about some interesting stuff. There is a giveaway going on my Instagram. I have collaborated with my blogger friend Snigdha (Yes, we share the same first name) for a Giveaway (Hint hint: It’s something similar to what I am wearing in these pictures) on each of our Instagram accounts. I would love you to go and check out our profiles and participate in the giveaway. Good Luck!
