Trip to Bath and Cardiff

Few weeks ago, for a bank holiday, my husband and I went on a trip to Bath. We had previously visited bath, but only as a day trip. During that trip, we fell in love with the Roman architecture of the city.

Fast forward 5 years and we decided to visit the city again but at a more leisurely pace.

This time we had 3 days in total to spend. First of all, we made a very good decision to stay in a cottage, in the middle of a farm, outside the city. This made our trip even more special. This is where we filmed our 'We are expecting' video. You can watch the video here.

On our first day, the weather was beautiful and we got to explore the entire city in leisure. We walked around the streets and soaked in the warm rays of the sun as well as the beautiful sights of the city.

On our second day though it was raining heavily, so we decided to stay indoors. We parked ourselves next to a fireplace in our cottage and read books the entire day. Honestly, being pregnant can sometimes be tiring, so it was a well needed break for me. I thoroughly enjoyed reading a book in the cosy surroundings.

Then on our final day, we decided to go to Cardiff city, which is approximately 40 miles from Bath. It was our first time in the city. We just explored the marina and the surrounding places.

Before we left for Cardiff, owner of the cottage that we stayed in suggested that we should also visit a village called Chepstow. On the way, we found this beautiful Abbey called Tintern Abbey. It was beautiful, surrounded by spectacular views. You can see the beautiful abbey in the last two pictures.

All in all we had a good trip to Bath and Cardiff.

Can't wait for another trip before the little one arrives :)
