In my pervious NYC post, I talked about the places to see in NYC. This post is Part II of the earlier one.
We visited Rockefeller centre after visting the Empire state
building, probably that’s why I was not amazed by the views. Rockefeller centre
is one of the famous tourist attractions but we felt that if you have already
seen Empire state building then there is no need to go on top of the Rock. A bit underwhelming!
10) Cycling in Central park
Central Park was high on our list and I will blame it on the
numerous movies that have atleast one scene at Central Park. We chose to do a
cycling tour of the park and it was the best decision ever!
We went on a 2 hour cycling tour with bunch of other people.
Our guide picked a route and showed us everything enroute, including the famous
film locations, celebrities’ flats etc . Cycling through the park was pure
bliss and I would recommend it to everyone. We also got a chance to stop at
different locations, walk around and take pictures. Next time you are in NYC, make
sure to do this tour!
11) High line
It’s an elevated urban linear park, renovated out of an
abandoned railway line. This is also a must see and an interesting place in NYC.
Personally, I loved the walk on high line.
It’s a unique park with an urban feel yet surrounded by trees, plants,
flowers, mini waterfalls and benches to sit on. This also boasts of open air
eateries and interesting events. High line can get crowded as the day
progresses, so we recommend to go there early in the morning. If I go to NYC
again, this is the place I would like to visit again along with Central park.
12) Times Square
Do I have to say anything about Times Square? New York is
Times Square, Times Square is New York.
